Located in the Guoluk Tibetan Autonomous prefecture and extending hundreds of miles about 6282m/20,605ft above sea level, The Amne Machin snow-mountain is interspersed with lofty peaks and deeper canyons and renown worldwide for its snow-capped peaks.

Amne Machin mountain is one of 21 holy mountains in whole Tibetan and believed to protect Tibetan area for thousands years. The average altitude in Amne Machin region is about 3500-4000m/11,480-13120ft, the mountain area are gathered high grassland, glacial lakes, dense forest and mountains valleys. In winter this area is covered by snow, but in summer everywhere dotted with flowers, sheep, yak and kinds of plants, the Tibetan nomads family live in the valleys and you can find their authentic their life. In the middle of summer they will change their live-place, little Tibetan teenagers is riding horse and driving hundred yaks and sheep with Tibetan mastiff, the babies is sleep on the yak’s back with their father. Since the Amne Machin Mountain is a holy mountain, many people from different place make Kura around it each year, especially during Sakedawa year (the year of water horse).

Also in the wilderness around Mt. Amne Machin, the wild donkey, wild horse or even snow leopard could be available to see though they are really rare.
