Amdo

Amdo is also called 'ando', which is a county in Nakchu of Tibet A.R. and lies in the north of Tibet A.R.

In history, Amdo refers to a huge area spanning from west to east; which covers such a general geogrphic region: middle and northern Qinghai province, most Gansu province and the majority of Aba Tibetan prefercture of Sichuan province.
