Kekexili Wild AreaKekexili is called 'Hoh Xil' in mongonian language and 'Achenkongjia' in Tibetan language. Kekexili is one of the most pefect protected natures of the world and one of the protected area of china featured with biggest coverage of land space, highest altitute in average and richest in the diversities of wild life species. Kekexili is called the '3rd pole of the world' for its harsh weather, high elevation in average (4600m), being not suitable to human life.' and just because of these, it becomes the 'wild life's paradise' to all species. Kekexili is located in the west of Yushu tibetan prefecture, its land space is 45,000 square kilometers, generally, Kekexili is such an area as quared between Mt. Wulanwula in the south, Kunlun mountains in the north, Qinghai-Tibet highway in the east and the Xinjiang-Xizang-Qinghai provincial boundary in the west. Kekexili is in the core of Qinghai-Tibet plateau, its highest point is 6860m, the peak Bukadaban of Mt. Kunluns in the north, its lowest point is 4200m in Baozixia; in Kekexili, the total measured land area of glaxiers is around 1,700 square kilometers the weather in Kekexili is featured with low teperature, little rainfall, big wind, big difference of temperature of internal areas; the loest recorded temperature is 46.40 degrees of centigrade, the rainfall goes down from southeast to northwest, the annual rainfall is between 173mm and 495mm; Kekexili is one of the high-speed winds area, its recorded maximum speed is 24m/s.
