Mountain Circling Festival

It was called on local lips “Zhubatsixi”, it happens on the 4th day on 6th month every year by Tibetan calendar. The Buddhism story goes that: after Buddha acheived and entertained, he gave first speech to his several disciples in simple language, vivid examples what the human being are suffering, the reasons of human sufferings, and the way to get nirvana.
When the day is coming, pilgrims will pour out to monasteries and holy mountains close to monasteries, and pay their homage by the way of circling the mountains and monasteries. In the past, people and lhamas would make sacrifice of all kinds to Ramoche, Jokhang temple and Parbalhakang in Potala palace, the most popular sacrifice were a white Hada (made of raw silk), a butter lamp.
Nowadays this kind of festival has become a popular get -- together for people to enjoy themselves on their holiday with friends and family relatives.
