Yangbajing Yangbajing is a small town 75km to the north of Lhasa city, at the south end of the Mt. Nyianchentangula, is famous for its geothermos heat, because of the movement of two crust plates (the Euro - Asia plate and the Indian ocean plate), this area became fratured, and rose violently, forming the Nyianchentangula mountain range. Because of the crust fracture here, the great heat from the inner of the earth bursts out from hee, it owns not only the common hot springs and fountains, but jet - air hole, hot - water lakes, hot - water swamps as well as the “heat Museum”, rare in the world. Since the smooth and resilient bathing water makes it the ideal place to refresh travellers and to cure diseases, tourists conservatories and bathing spas as well as terrestial heat station, the largest of the kind in China, are built. Because of the underearth heat and the cool air around, these combine to make this area a nice place for husbandry in Tibet. The wool produced from here is in high quality.
