Yongbhulakhang Palace

Yongbhulakhang, located 9km to the south of Tsetang city, was the first palace in snowland Tibet, by history, it was built in the 2nd century B.C. for the first Tibet king - Nyechi Zangbu.

Driving to Yongbhulakhang, you will pass the Changdrok temple and a short section of “valley”, when you are just out of that small valley, a building on a hill will appear before your eyes suddenly, it looks grand, preciptous and forceful. Standing on top of it, overlooking the surroundings below and far will motivate something in your long - confined heart into a voice that echoes inside - I will do something.

In Tsetang area, there are several No.1st, the first palace of Tibet, the first king , the first farmland, the first monatery in Tibet history..., the Yongbhulakhang is the 1st palace for the first Tibet king, under his rule, the Yalong tribe gradually expanded in power, and conquered others mall tribes, at last under the rule of the 33rd king of Yalong tribe - Songzang Ganbu, he ruled and unified the snow land into a powerful kingdom - Tubo kingdom in 7th century.

By historical recordings, Buddhism scriptures had gone into Tibet before 7th century, just because of the powerful rule of Bon religion over rayal family and Tibet everywhere, the Buddhism was overshadowed and cornered to nothing.
